Our thriving dental practice is growing we need an experienced dental front office coordinator who has excellent customer service skills and a high level of patient care. This job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will still take the time to provide personalized service for the patient. The appointment coordinator represents the practice in all facets of patient services, which may include but is not limited to greeting patients, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records and coordinating patient flow Essential duties and responsibilities: Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller or handle the caller’s needs yourself Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data Calls patients the day before reminding them of a scheduled appointments time. Registers new patients, provides necessary paperwork(welcome letter,HIPAA documents), and ensures all required documents are completed by the patient. Performs necessary duties associated with checking patients in and out. Record treatment information in the patient’s chart. Enter the type of treatment planned for the next appointment During morning huddles, reports on production results, address problems, issues, or concerns Organizes daily charts and provides to clinical staff for review Be able to read and balance a ledger and understand co-pay % Understanding to HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations Monitors the schedules regularly, adjusts the schedule as necessary and reschedules patients as needed Schedules and adjusts patients appointments to maximize patient care and reach practice profit target. Manages the daily, weekly, and monthly calendar to meet the practice production and collection goals. Uses a computer, fax to transmit information or documents when request. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 2+ years of experience with dental software and front dental administration Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance Salary will be based on experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of dental software and dental terminology Knowledge of appointment coordinator procedures.
