Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual- Schedule appointments for patients and manage the appointment calendar- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing- Provide administrative support to medical staff, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area Skills:- Proficiency in using dental or medical office software such as Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems- Knowledge of medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff members- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and files- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or dental receptionist Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
